Is all forgiven with Ken by the supporters? can Ken move on from the vitriol from his own supporters? Does Ken leave anyway with his stocks higher for a massive payday at Tassie?

You’re right it is absurd!

Fair payout then for a club not exactly flush. What would the AFL think?

Who gives a shit.

Debt will be all but paid off come the end of this year.

The AFL would given they control the financials at most clubs

The Crows will be runner up, Mal will be Prime Minister, I'll be the fittest person in the country and along with Carey will no longer drinking beer, whufc will go 2 months without telling us he manages a gym, LM will be a prick and not want to ever go back to Bali, Corona Man will finally be drinking decent beers, Pseudo will be taking a bigger interest in the AFL than the SANFL and another grub will never make a bet again.
Not so big an if really. ;)

And they'd have signed off on the new deal and the terms, they'd know exactly where it stands and you reckon the AFL would go "Sorry, you can't sack him"?

Please.

I'd be very surprised that if the current contract between Hinkley and PAFC doesn't have a review clause in it that allows both parties to walk away at the end of the year. I bet Hinkleys manager would be sniffing out clubs to see if there is a Coaching director -Football Manager role opportunity that will continue past 2025 that Hinkley would be interested in.

Port would have a pay out clause in it if they want to move him at the end of the year.

Port are like Glenelg in 2011, been so close to the top of the mountain in the previous years but the coaches voice is the same as the last 6-7 years so the players are tuning out and the slide is on.

the papers are being drawn up and the Divorce will be finalised in September
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Once Hinkleys tenure is up I don't think he'll coach again.
Maybe a footy director but not coach.

What of Josh Carr in all this?
He seemed to be annointed as the logical replacement for Hinkley.
Didn't they get him back from freo with that in mind?
Now if he gets shunted for Buckley I can see some port people going troppo.
Two horse race, who wins?

I'm not convinced Carr isn't already pulling the strings at the Pear already. If so, why would they appoint him as the next coach?

Fair point, Kochie may have already taken a "test drive" of Carr.......

If Carr was the next coach it made sense to do it at end of last year, now I feel he is getting further tarnished by the wider coaching group and the feel will be they need an outsider to come in to take over.

Gee that's a big call.
If it's not Carr then who?
I reckon Bucks would be a great fit but I'm not sure he wants the job.

I think Carr deserves a shot, it's a lottery though promoting a assistant. Every senior coach will be quoted saying "He'll make a great senior coach" when talking about their assistant's (current & former). Pies and Hawks got lucky with their appointments but other clubs haven't been so lucky when promoting highly regarded assistant's.

I think Bucks would take the call out of courtesy but he looks content and comfortable in the media.

“It was a big win (for the club),” he said in the post-match press conference. “Fair bit of relief.

It says something when (just) beating St Kilda is such a big win

St Kilda are horrible at the moment
