3 or 4 of the clubs on that list struggle to hold 2 teams together as it is

I think you would find some people would come out of the woodwork if they knew they were going to compete on a somewhat level playing field. Good luck to Elizabeth recruiting anyone at the current time.

Clubs facing similar resourced, local rivals with less travel and the ability for junior sides to stay local may assist football in a heartland area of SA that struggles in recent years. SANFL and local Councils can assist with the inevitable culture issues that emerge with local clashes week in, week out!
Again, food for thought!

there's only 2 pros to resurrecting any kind of northern league
1) less travel for those that live beyond GJ Road. and
2) We can get rid of the Tossers![]()

As a non-Northerner, besides the BLG league, what other leagues are out that way? Would a D6 or D7 be able to compete in the BLG?

To be fair, Angle Vale were div7 when they moved to Adel Plains in 2016, I know it's been awhile but they're very competitive now [emoji2369]The Bedge wrote:wenchbarwer wrote:The Bedge wrote:I think in coming years we will see shift anyway - some clubs on the outskirts may try and head to neighboring leagues, some clubs may end up closing the doors, and as a whole the competition may be reduced to 6 divisions.

Adel Plains or possibly Hills?
Nah, not sure a D6 or D7 club could compete in any of those leagues.
