Is there a groundswell of support by the fans to chase Buckley?

I reckon Buckley would be a great get. Rate him

The emotional lure back to where his senior football started and the opportunity to lead us to glory off field as he did on field, the divorce perhaps giving him the opportunity for a fresh start in Adelaide, a break from coaching in the media to reassess his coaching career and what he wants from it.

If we don't at least speak to him at the end of the year we'd be making a mistake.

Fair payout then for a club not exactly flush. What would the AFL think?

He would be a good get.
I do get the feeling the AFL will offer him a decent package to be Tassies first coach though

I think all coach contracts have a 6 month buy out clause regardless of contract.

But if Ken goes from Port, AFL will chase Ken for that role first.
I think both Crows and Port will go hard for Bucks. Crows more as a head of coaching or similar,

Some, not all. There was talk on SEN earlier this week than Ken possibly had a full payout clause in his contract.

This is going to sound absurd...
What if...big what if... Port go on and win the flag this year.
Is all forgiven with Ken by the supporters? can Ken move on from the vitriol from his own supporters? Does Ken leave anyway with his stocks higher for a massive payday at Tassie?

Could have just stopped after the first line. We aren't winning the flag

Given his tenure and the deal being his last barring a flag there's no way they'd have that in there and if by chance it is I'd imagine the financial terms would have been reduced to do so.
