Absolutely, and its my closest big shopping centre (town is closer though).
I worked at Colonnades for over a decade and visited Elizabeth a few times when this site was sponsored by a shop there, but the first time I went to Arndale as I was attending a meeting next door to it I could only describe it as walking into a 3rd world war torn country, it's scary!! Colonnades and Elizabeth always seemed fine and not a lot different to Marion which I'd never visit by choice too.
Arndale makes Colonnades and Elizabeth look like the Jungceylon Shopping precinct in Phuket! (Which I might add never had any metal detectors as mentioned before)
I was even offered a job there during Covid but chose to earn nothing except for my super pension for that period as there was no way I was going there!

Having said all that my missus goes to Arndale occassionally (I will travel to West Lakes once a year for my needs) and she doesn't mind it but she did come from the UK though so anywhere here seems pleasant. She'll go anywhere for a cheap deal, she'd never fork out over $20 for shoes as an eg, mind you she'll go to the pub with me and help me go through $200 in no time.

My What the F*** moment however was when they interviewed a shopper from Marion after the evacuation who said something along the lines of I knew something like what happened at Bondi would happen here eventually. Well, WTF were you doing shopping there then?
