I saw a different angle tonight and it looked like a clash of heads. Dixon goes down holding his head after the incident.

Totally unintentional and wouldn’t of been looked at x-amount of years ago

One of the local news outlets I can’t recall which one.

Unintentional now equals reckless unfortunately for Charlie.

I understand the power challenging tbh. 3 weeks seems a tad harsh.

If you look at the footage on sanfl.com you can see Dixon go down after the hit.

Contact high outcome severe (concussion) based on the injury report so it’s three weeks minimum

Feel for the SANFL anything less than three weeks based on the National Tribunal guidelines and they stand accused of favouring the AFL sides. Follow the guidelines and Port fans will claim the SANFZl is out to get them.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Where's Koch when you need him? SANFL is soooo different than AFL. More to whine about.

How?

Based on these https://sanfl-content.imgix.net/content/uploads/2024/03/15091417/State-Territory-Tribunal-Guidelines_SANFL_2024.pdf

it's been graded the lowest possible conduct (careless) the outcome is severe based on the concussion - White will miss at least two games the only possible room for manoeuvre for Port is, is the contact high (four weeks) or three (body) - p 22 of the linked document.

Yep in the past this would've been included in a 2020's version of MMM Rockin' Footy DVD as one of those incidents we all loved 10 years ago but as we all know the our sport takes concussion much more seriously hence why we get this outcome (match review sanction) when players choose to bump.

As your most decorated Port Power player Kane Cornes (4 x BFs 1 x premiership) said on SEN breakfast on Monday - the bump is dead

PS these guidelines would apply if you were in the VFL competition, just quietly ;)
