Anyone moved their email across to the message company from TPG or iiNet yet?
Had mine moved across and I get shit loads of spam mail now.

However, Internode buggered up their email service so badly before the migration (it was throttled to the point of being unusable for a period of some weeks; could only reliably download email about once a day, on a good day) that I jumped to a third party email provider and changed all my online accounts to this.

Now I still have my old internode account on TMC, but I get no important emails there. I am using it as a throwaway account and will let it die once the free period lapses. I'm not the only one. TMC might have thought they were on a good thing, getting all of TPG's customers, until internode scared off their portion of them.

I haven't seen an increase in spam though.

A few years back when I was at my old workplace I had this smartarse dickhead blow a big gust of vape smoke in my face as I walked past him in the factory, they hadn't been outlawed in the workplace at the time and I was filthy with him.

I kindly suggested that he would want to keep a good eye on it because if I seen it laying around I would poke the mouthpiece up my sphincter, the dude was a deadset flogger that knew hew was always safe inside the 4 walls of the workplace.

I did get him back a couple of times, he left our company to start up a cleaning business, I booked him for 3 days to do a deep clean at a big resort in the Barossa, he fell for it.

Apropos of the above, I had an email in my TMC inbox this morning, from "The Messaging Company", informing me that payment on the account was due in 3 days, and that as a new customer I needed to register payment details.

The supplied link to the registration page ended in ".br". Yep, it was a well-crafted phish. The scammers are aware that a bunchload of iiNet/TPG/internode/etc customers will soon be due to pay for their migrated email, and they are exploiting this. Hats off to 'em; it is one of the better phishing attempts I've seen.
