I don't mind Perrie - I think he would have been very valuable at Propsect fulltime but that ain't going to happen now!

Tiser this morning reported Jeff Smith as a departure for the Bays ... Not sure if this was mentioned before, but he would be a decent loss wouldn't he? (I've been impressed the few times Ive seen him)

News from The Roost that WWT have picked up ex North player McEntee.
A good get IMHO who is still young and a better KPP than Grocke.
Nice work Ron.

"the joker" - you must be joking, Treeby is Ron's second love child....just behind Mark McKenzie. Ron even makes jokes about it. You don't win the B&F if not onside with the coach.

Wedgie - could you please give a few details about McEntee. Where did he play last year. Was he mooted as being a draft selection a few years ago?

Joker - no truth in your statement - any one who heard Treebs speak at the Club Champion knows exactly how he feels about the Eagles.

McEntee plays in Southern League I thought - Marion footy club?? Hope the Roost is right with the news - i cant confirm but will be making some phone calls shortly. (Been a little busy today becoming a grandfather for the second time!)

Just the same story that has been going around for a month now. Stuey eager to play again, saying most likely the dogs, Kris Grant saying he'd be more than welcome but as yet nothing concrete. I dare say this will happen after the AFL national draft has happened. That's when most signings are notified. My gut instinct tells me he's basically agreed to play unless an AFL club gets him eager for AFL again, and the Gowans would almost certainly sign on to play with Stuey again (but I think they'll go around again regardless).

McEntee sounds like he would be a good get. Does he play back lines? Our tall forward line isn't really an issue, although if we lose Salter in the draft he'll need replacing. Need a quality midfielder and small forward. Also, what type of player is Christian Grocke? Did his knee in the pre-season so should hopefully be back for 2008.

Ideally I'd like to see us have enough quality talls to allow McKenzie not just being used to curb the oppositions best player on match day.
