I had the same experience a couple of years ago, but a washing machine.

Put up a similar ad, dirt cheap just to get rid of it ASAP.

Fella contacts me and comes over, spends 15 mins inspecting it then tells me what’s wrong with it and what needs to be done to fix it. Told him I don’t give a rats how to fix it, I want it gone, then pissed him off.

Changed the ad to a free washing machine, pickup from this address, first come first served. Was gone in 30 mins.
