Hagley Oval (Christchurch) holds 9000 normally but can double that if they need to. Hagley Oval is situated in the city's parklands and surrounds are public playing fields. It's the replacement ground for Lancaster Park that was destroyed in the earthquake and unable to be rebuilt due to the soil conditions
