You have got to be kidding. Possibly a shade better than Deitz, but Deitz's batting should see him clear for SA, but Haddin, Ronchi, Hartley, and a gentleman named Gilchrist might think different.
Gilchrist is not a great gloveman and he would be the first to admit that. He's worked very hard on it though and has improved dramatically since he started but there are still several blokes in Australia who are better glovemen. Overall cricketer and value to a side Gilchrist wins hands down though.
