I've got a outdoor sensor light that gets triggered when its windy.
now you might say its detecting movement from the wind, but there is nothing in the vicinity, and I have the sensitivity on the lowest setting.
I even went to the extent to cover the sensor completely, and it still was getting triggered when windy.
Any ideas anyone???

Is it a hard wired or bayonet plug in?
I have a bayonet sensor light that did similar.
I took it down and cleaned it and now it only triggers when it should.

hard wired. It has done this from brand new.

hard wired. It has done this from brand new.

yeah doing that next week.
Did some more googling, and a change in temperature can trigger PIR sensors. In the area this one is, it is exposed to a southerly wind which is most nights at my house, and would swirl off the neighbours wall adjoining my property line, so thinking it is that heat off their wall being picked up by the wind and into the sensor.

Not sure changing it would fix it so hopefully they change the type of sensor. in saying that it still triggered when i had the sensor covered which I would have thought would remove the temp variation.

So driving North on KWS today and had google maps running to my destination in Norwood, google maps is so smart it can tell me when and where there are live traffic issues, however it still wanted me to take a right hand turn from KWS onto North Tce when that is clearly not available and hasn't been for years, WTF?

Not this specific location in the back streets of Norwood, however was running late for a meeting as I had to pick up a document from someone in KWS (drive by) and wanted the quickest way there

I know those streets pretty well, have been known to use a back route* to the city when Payneham Rd has been gridlocked.

Try doing that in any other capital.
