Eddie Van Halen - 'Eruption'.
Does a whole song classify as a solo? :?
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Yeah can't go past the Comfortably Numb, which actually has 2 excellent solos, the shorter, elegant one and the tour de force at the end.

Other good ones from memory:

Jimmy Page in "Whole Lotta Love"
John Fogarty in "Travellin Band"
Slash in "November Rain"
solo in The Strokes' "The Modern Age"
solo in Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street"

As you didn't specify an era or musical style I offer up this. Won't be to everyones taste and might not be his best work but the clip shows just how badly deformed his fret hand was (result of a fire as a kid).

i always like the solo in Hendrixs track Bold as love. Where it starts with that drum solo in stereo sound that then launces into classic Hendrix lickin, follows into awesome sounding stero(which was groundbreaking producing at the time) Archialpegilo soloing. The solo goes through so many styles its just awesome.

I like the new carlos santana solos in "Into the night" featuring Chad from Nickleback.
Also Slash, november rain.
There's a good one by the matchbox 20 guitarist in "bright lights" where he gets on the piano.
My favourite one is in "More than a feeling" by Boston.
