Goolwa hasn't been in the comp for about 5 years have they? Is "Goolwa" even named in the Saints title?

jingles wrote:I'm with you Roo, I Know Princi and think he is a nice guy. Not sure he's the player that a few have mentioned though...

As for how he'll go up at Pongy, I think it's a strange choice, I know that he would of put together an impressive presentation but I can't see him tapping into the boys up there (Lootsy, Big Sterz, Juice, Heathy & co.)

Just heard that the players are meeting this weekend to have a chat on what they can do, don't think it's been received well.

I don't think Benny knows what he is in for up there either. Myponga have a tendancy to knife eachother from within the club, it's been going on for a long time, especially with coaches!

The Larks need a couple of gun players to be injected into the club, so I hope for Princi, that he gets support from within.

Wayne Deacon can consider himself to be extremely hard done by! He got them into the finals playing kids and guys who cant kick drop punts. Unfortunatly, it looks like some of the 'old dead wood' at Myponga may have taken him and the effort he's put in for granted

Goodluck Princi.... I reckon you'll need it

I heard from a good source that you could be on the money there Jingles! Deacs was strongly encouraged by the club to re-apply for the position, it must have been a tough phone call to receive. But from what I understand he has already been approached by other clubs and where Deacs goes Lootsy, Heathy and Co will follow...

I wonder where the club is heading in 2008?

Good to hear LF. Do we know the names of these players at this point in time? Or even what type of players they are... key position or onballers?

Ah Micky if only the lovelock shield were to come back. U could go to the games and cook the bbq, sink some beers and watch the guys run around on the long weekend.

As expected a bit of a surprise reaction from the pongy players to the appointment of Ben Princi. There may be a few players leaving but hopefully the club stands strong and doesnt bow to the pressures of the players and sticks by there decision. U want guys at the club that play for the club and have pride in the guernsey rather than themselves and leave due to decisions they didnt want to stand up and make themselves.

if you ask me which i know you didnt but...

The boys from pongy are surprised at the Princi decision but i have heard that most will stay. Whenever a coach doesnt get reappointed there is always some controversy and it gives a few players an excuse they might have been looking for to move on!

Im also pretty sure that after the Mclaren debarcal of a few years ago Lootsy will keep his nose clear of this whole thing.

Hey cmon boys easy on the lads from the creek.I'm sure if Timmy Follett played and they had kicked straight and the umpires wer'nt cheats and Timmy Rodgers had a good game, and the team manager didnt stuff up,and it was little bit cooler they wouldve flog them.
