Recruit some players.

Like what Victoria did with Wade. Look to Poach young players from other states. While it might not be looked upon kindly, this is what the Redbacks need to do to become competitive. Someone like Adam Crosthwaite needs to be targeted if Wade continues to hold his spot in the side for the rest of the year. He is too good not to be playing state cricket and he is a hell of a lot better than Manou and co.

As for this season it may be another long one for the fans

WA 7-144 and hopefully they can stave off NSW until the expected rain around the time of the lunch break. Winds are rising so it should be a good call by the BoM.

Slow going so far apart from a Pomersbach boundary in the first four overs - Bollinger and Casson bowling.

Please come rain and deprive those NSW bay-sterds of six points! [-o< :wink:

According to the cricket Australia website, a total of 93 spectators turned up to the 4th days play at Adelaide oval. What the Hell were they thinking???????????????
A/ Got locked in from yesterday?
B/ Were lost and wandered in by mistake?
C/ No one turned up, they just counted the players and staff?

Why the HECK isn't Deitz in the team?

* Kick out the unbelievably pathetic Manou.
* Is this a charity case? Kick our Jason Borgas now.
* Tell Dan Cullen to go looking for another state.
* Ryan Harris had a very good game with the ball but there is NO way he's an opening bowler.
* Bring back Mark Cleary.
* Sack the coach.

And there we have it, a start of the turnaround.

Most of your points are valid, but re Jason Borgas, he impressed in his few games last year. Obviously did nothing in this game, but i'd give him at least another 2 games before deciding whether to drop him or not.

Fair enough. But does anyone agree with me about Cullen? He's recieved so much hype and yet he's as average as they come. He will never play test cricket again and I would think he'll have his CA contract removed at the end of this summer. He can barely take a wicket at state level; his average is above 40 for crying out loud!!!

We are the laughing stock of the country. We don't even deserve to be in the competition.

PS. Graham Manou continues to get a game HOW???????????????????

I think the Borgas boys will be struggling to hold their postions with Lehmann to come back into the side at some stage. Wouldn't mind seeing Callum Ferguson get a gig.
I also agree with putting in Cleary - once Tait comes back though this creates a problem with fitting all in the side, especially since we play two spinners. The obvious solution is to drop one of them - it will be a tough call for the selectors and I have no good reason why either Cullen or Bailey should be dropped, other than right now 2 spinners are excess to requirements.
