Big call my man, Paying 41's atm, probably worth a little dabble, can kick bags in losses. Get a few wins on the board and anything can happen,
In to $13

In 2020 when the competition moved to Queensland they threw the towel in on the back of the coach giving them an out.
In 2021 they copped COVID lockdowns but bounced back to win 10 games.
In 2022 they capitulated on the back of injuries, winning two games.
Hurn (35), Naitanui, Shuey (32), McGovern, Cripps, Darling, Gaff and Yeo (30) Kelly, Hunt, Sheed, Barrass (27) - None of these have their best football ahead of them.
On Saturday they were pathetic against North, they showed no heart, no fight, where are West Coast in 18 months?

Hurn Shuey both retire at the end of this season.
McGovern retires end of 2024 season
Liam Ryan = Tradebait, I seriously rate this guy, would fit Carlton like a glove.
You can't get rid of every older guy so keep Yeo Sheed Darling so you don't end up like North
Trade targets any WA born player younger than 25 - Logan McDonald, Chad Warner, Shain Bolton, Denver Grainger-Barras, Mitch Georgiades plus others

Broom closet and keep sweeping. It's a shallow cupboard at the moment.
A few things:
- Already said but paid too much for Kelly.
- current young players and blue chips mids you feel like are only just starting out.
- Barass, Sheed, McGovern and Yeo still have some good footy to play. We don't need to throw put Tue bath water there just yet.
- Nic Nat and Hurn will finish up this year. That will leave Willaims and Jamieson to carry the ruck.
- Shuey will move to Adelaide as a tackling coach and its probably done soon.
Chester for one will be a good player, just needs a bit of footy. Hopefully he stays fit and gets going.
Gibney is a ripper and he'll get plenty of game time this year. I'm confident he'll develop well.
Oscar Allen is a good kid, plenty to work with.
But **** me the cupboard is bar as **** and it will he a few long seasons, however we can turn it around quickly. Just sit back and sink some beers for the time been.
Perhaps target McDonald but midfielder are the key and we lack plenty of them.

I think it's time for a change, place needs a clean out and a freshness to it. So how long? He's out of time I would think.mighty_tiger_79 wrote:stan wrote:Where to?Booney wrote:Where to for West Coast?

Roughly 4500 left after half the competitors were out after round 1 (Freo, Bris & Geel the culprits).
FWIW I went Sydney last week & took them again this weekend.

No I didn't but I did hear what had happened in round 1.
Is there not a rule that you cannot pick the same team 2 weeks in a row?

Nope, just so long as they win you’re still alive.

I thought I heard Kane on Monday say you could only pick a team once in first 18 rounds...
Maybe it was a different comp.
Goodluck!

He can go through this year with clean air (contract wise) and next year when the rebuild starts as the ageing top end leave and then the club decides is he the man to run the 4 year rebuild or is it a fresh start.

Bold call but I reckon the Doggies don't go on with Beveridge at the end of this season & Simpson goes on to coach the Dogs whilst the premiership window is slightly ajar at Whitten Oval.
WC start afresh in the rebuild with a new coach and recruit Sam Taylor home from GWS.

Shuey is almost done. Gaff, Kelly and Sheed aren't getting younger.
Gibneys first hit out was ok, Chesser wasn't much to write home about bit least he made it through. Hewitt is in this week which will be good to see how he goes. Hopefully Chesser is better for the run now.
As for the coach, either way we can have him stay on as boon suggested or we can let him go if there's a immediate option available. That's the advantage of being cashed up.
