The SE Melbourne Phoenix have announced they've signed import Malcolm Bernard as an injury replacement player for Trey Kell. He's a 6'6" swingman who just played for the Bendigo Braves in the NBL1 South and Kell who suffered a broken rib in a pre-season game against Tasmania causing him to miss the Blitz is expected to be out for the first 2-3 rounds of the season.
