Going through Coles a couple of weeks ago and I seen the Venetian biscuits were on special, so I grabbed a couple of packs for old time sakes, haven't had them in ages.

The lad gets home with his girlfriend and they pretty much demolished a packet within 15 minutes, he'd never had them before, just proved how long since I had purchased them, he's 17.

I've since brought half a dozen safety packs, seems as though everyone that comes over rates them highly.

Joel Selwood.

What a guy, literally what an absolute f**king legend. Even the most negative people in Australia (Jim,I’m looking your way) must respect and at least a bare minimum appreciate what this guy has done and given to not only the game, the community and those who most deserve it, but literally smashed out being the best guy ever.

We have so much in common. Lol :D

I've been a truck driver for almost 30 years (apart from a 4 year stint working in a winery) & have yet to stop there but have heard so many rave about it.

Hey @cracka, if you've been a truck driver for 30 years and commute through the hills I take my hat off to you. After driving to Hahndorf from Gawler on the route that google sent me on I gained a lot more respect for the drivers at work.

It's a general observation of mine that as soon as I get past OTH it drops 10 degrees, the light dims and it rains until I leave any of the forestry regardless of where I am heading, around Lenswood etc. would be very challenging in a truck, especially with so many moronic car drivers on the road.

Cavan steak van isn't anywhere as near as good as it used to be,
they don't cook the meat fresh anymore, they cook & re-heat & it tastes shithouse.

Same Boon. I'm doing the longest day for the cancer council (see golf thread) the support, comments and general conversations this has triggered has been really overwhelming. At the risk of sounding soft, i've seriously had a lump in my throat so many times in the last 2 days with people in the office sharing their stories with me.

I didn't want to 'make this about me' so to speak, but i tabled my story about losing my sister and now the struggle my mother is going through on a daily basis just to let people know this is real and as stated the conversations i've had from people in the office i've basically never spoken to before has blown me away, so many sad stories, the beast that is cancer has literally touched so many people that no one talks about, days like 'The longest Day' i believe will trigger conversations which can only be a good thing.

I actually feel really good about doing this albeit small, good deed.
