Matt is an incredibly nice person, as well as being one heck of a player... definitely my equal-favourite non-Central player, alongside Jonno Beech.

Matt told me that the distance to training at the Ponderosa was what stopped him joining us... he is not alone in that regard
I still think we were up against it in trying to get him to join us - Matt is a very loyal young man. I would normally 'hate' Norwood winning a flag but I could tolerate one tomorrow, only for Matt
Btw, Matt did become a Bulldog - a Western Bulldog, so I still thank him very much for that
