As last seasons Grade 3 premiers, not sure Eyre B grade would be classed a "Bradbury".

We are thankful for the change in format this season - it gave us as a club an opportunity to experience some on field success again after a very difficult couple of seasons.
Two seasons ago, we were rolled for 45 in the last round by North Pines then had them hit almost 400 runs taking the piss out of us as we crawled to the finish line.. last year similar with Eyre Royals - rolled them for 181 with half a team, before getting skittled for 96 ultimately losing outright. The side was compiled with basically left overs we couldn't even get a competitive 11 on the park and the season couldn't end soon enough.
Lot of long Saturdays the past couple of years being beaten from pillar to post.
From a club point of view, still no A grade flag since 1982 haunts me every day.. since I've returned to Enfield from R&C :
2013/14 - lost a GF by 1 wicket defending 65
2014/15 - lost a SF chasing 76
2015/16 - lost a SF chasing 155
2016/17 - lost a GF defending 190
2017/18 - lost a GF chasing 74
2018/19 - lost a SF chasing 127 (dropped catch should've had them 8/74)
2021/22 - lost a SF defending 156, bowled 79.1 overs, took 9 wickets and dropped 7 catches.
Not sure how many more seasons I can keep rocking up, pouring everything into the club and season and coming up short.

Come to the conclusion that our captain is a borderline psychopath with serial killer tendencies. Who the hell bowls first ever?Lightning McQueen wrote:auto wrote:Thank f*** that season is over. Let us never speak of it again.

Sounds like youre ready to run through a brick wall haha. Good luck.#bleedredandblue wrote:Plenty of mutual respect between EP and westies but there will be some fire in this game.. Both teams full of match winners, bat deep, bowling options and good fielding sides! Haven’t been this keen for a game of cricket in my life
One for the ages some would say, hardest trip in the game playing westies at westies especially in a grand final! But we’re all up for it and I hope it’s a cracking game of cricket for myself to finish up on! Good luck to everyone else playing in GFs this weekend.. never easy to win!
