It's happening all over the health care system
You can't pass it on if you're vaxxed so no problem

I know you're smart enough to have made that post with your tongue in your cheek...

Good commentary by Sam Groth

Now the Victorian Govt have thrown TA under the bus

This just gets better and better (or worse; depending on your bent)

There isn’t the ability to test every case genomically to see what strain it is.
When you see stats like “there is 80% Omicron in SA” they are randomly checking about 40 cases per day only and basing their figures off that

Are you serious?
Thousands of cases daily and they’re checking about 40 daily?
Very small sample size then.
Their stats are completely useless if that’s the case.

I wonder what other states are doing here?
Every state is doing it. Only have the capacity to genomically test a small percentage. NSW were only doing it for cases that were hospitalised

My daughter had it too now, luckily her new housemates are looking after her as are her new employer, Geelong Footy Club, who are sending her food and groceries.
She expects to be back at work on Monday pending no symptoms.
The ex has it too but is isolating with the son.
Lesson to be learned, don't go to Victoria for Xmas!

I see in the paper today footy club officials are floating of the idea of somehow getting players to catch it now to avoid disruptions in the footy season.

I still don't see what the fuss is but am enjoying extended holidays! Surely I've got to get it soon with the amount of pubs I'm visiting!

My 18yo daughter has it now, single vaxed, mild symptoms. She has to isolate for 10 days from yesterday and the rest of us for 14 days. With a household of 5 it's quite conceivable that we could be in isolation for a lengthy period if we contract it at staggered times.

Under the SA health you might be in isolation for a couple of months is it gets staggered perfectly.

Been asking the same question here, one you have had it does it leave your system or remain, can you get it again, i suppose with all the different variants you can

It doesn't encourage you to do the right thing does it. It wouldn't effect me as I can WFH but 2 of my kids being casual retail workers would probably lose their jobs if it went longer than 4 weeks. My other kid would exhaust all of her leave and have no income so I'd have to pay her bills.
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.
