Going by an ad on radio this morning Foxtel have secured exclusive TV rights to domestic one-day cricket this season

So unless you have Fox, you won't be seeing any domestic one-day games

Shows where we're at that Adcock's been appointed captain. Nothing against the bloke but come midseason he may be struggling to hold his place in the side.
I hope i'm wrong though.

TAB odds

PURA CUP.....................FORD CUP

QL... 3-75....................... 4-00
WA...3-75........................3-75
NS... 5-00........................5-00
SA... 5-50........................6-00
TA ...7-00........................7-50
VI ..$7-00.........................5-50

One question needs to be asked
How can SA be shorter odds than TA for the Pura cup ?

I think TA/VI are pretty good odds for both Cups
Its the most even Domestic season Ive seen in many years

Tasmania might be long odds due to the availability of Ben Hilfenhaus if he plays very little they may struggle this season.

who are they trying to fool with SA's odds?

Cam Borgas on the C31 sports show now pumping up the redback's chances this season. Hopefully some results on the way with the boys training 25 hours a week and the batsmen facing some 20,000 balls.

Really these blokes just need to make some fricken runs. Depending on how much cricket Tait plays for sa will be the key, im suggesting not much. But still with Dizz, Rofe, Cleary there we if given something to defend the boys should be able to get few wins on the board at least.

Cue May-Z on why that isn't necessarily a good preparation...

He keeps telling me that the reason the Redback's batting was so bad last year was because they spend too much time facing bowling machines and get into habits of facing predictable bounce, so when they play on real wickets against real bowlers, they don't know what to do...

nothing wrong with facing bowling machines. It gets the feet moving. Not sure if the 20,000 was just the bowling machine or a combination.

He also said that things like this have been documented and recorded. If they have included centre wicket balls hopefull it is like Matt Hayden does, just gets net bowlers to bowl to him for hours at a time in the centre wicket.

Things are heating up in the Victorian squad with 3 keepers all fighting for the one spot after the Vic's recruited young gun Matthew Wade from Tasmania.

Wade not even 20, was captain of Tasmania under 19's and also involved in the Under 19's world cup. Was put behind Clingeleffer and Paine at Tasmania, now is the main competition to Crosthwaite. Interesting times at Victoria for both of these young potential stars.

Practice matchs for the Redbacks

2 in a row against the Warriors

A young Warriors side led by Chris Rogers took on a Redbacks team featuring former Test players Matthew Elliott, Darren Lehmann and Dan Cullen in a one-day fixture.

Nathan Adcock won the toss and elected to bowl, the Warriors were dismissed for 149 in 40.4 overs. David Bandy top-scored with 33, while Ryan Harris was the best of the wicket-takers (3/15 from 6.4 overs).

SA reached the total with one wicket and nine overs in hand. Callum Bailey's unbeaten 30 guided the visitors home after they had collapsed to 7/119. Elliott made 35 at the top of the order, while Darren Wates (three wickets), Shawn Gillies and Sean Ervine (two apiece) were the main wicket-takers.

The Warriors bounced back in emphatic fashion in the 2 day match winning by 214 runs.

Rogers won the toss and elected to bat, and the home side declared at 6/344 at stumps on the opening day.

Luke Pomersbach, who made his first-class debut last summer, blazed an unbeaten 166 from 175 balls, with 14 fours and 8 sixes. Shaun Marsh made 45, while Liam Davis chipped in with 44. Dan Cullen (4/93) was the best of the Redbacks' bowlers.

In reply the Redbacks were bowled out for 130. Steve Magoffin took 5/24 from 12 overs, while Adcock top-scored for SA with 45.

Not the best start with the bat for the Redbacks even though it was a practise match. Not long to go before the real stuff starts.

I know I will be ridiculed for this but expect Matthew 'Herb' Elliott to have a big season this year. Made a very good 80 today.

Ha Ha Ha, So Did Andrew Delmont ( who incidently played a few games for the mighty Langhorne Creek 'B' Grade a few years ago - Where he learnt his craft ) in the same Innings.
At the end of the Day, Adcock is a Proven DUD at State level and i'm Not interested in hearing about him making runs in Grade cricket.
Perform at state level or Piss off.
