Tall defender?

Plays forward doesn’t he?

Yep. But he’s better down back.

I've heard it all now. Rucci claiming this morning that Hinkleys coaching in the 2nd half of 2021 was some of the best coaching in history.

Look at who they played. Yes a good job, but hardly one of the best coaching efforts in history!

You know what's most entertaining about this? Rucci, Cornes, Rowe, they all aim their bullshit at the nuffies who buy anything, who believe they believe what they're saying and here you are with a receipt of purchase.

I suppose there is always that, but he's not normally like that. I think he just blindly loves Ken.

Nah Rucci is shit stirrer. Bering that way for as long as I can remember.

It's a very simply formula they are using, basically stir up nuffies and create debate. Keeps them relevant all the time

Don't Port need a tall defender who can lock down the opposition's tall forward? e.g. Hawkins, Naughton, Lynch etc. Don't see McKenzie or Clurey getting the job done in the big games. Why not Tahlia?

I think Clurey might be seen as surplus to requirements at Alberton, Talia could be a stop gap but given Jonas (31) and McKenzie (30) are both in the back end of their careers I think we probably need to go with a younger key defender to groom into the role.

It has been reported that a number of Port players, including Clurey, have back ended contracts, which puts him on about $650k next year. No one is going to pay that, so Port either keep him or subsidise his departure.

He's got 2 years left on his current deal.

$650k running around in the SANFL is good $$ if you can get it.
