Going to be a good game

Best performed team of the year vs the best defensive team with a weeks rest.

Defence wins premierships!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Which team is the best in the wet? The forecast isn't promising.

The last two Premiers. Both teams likely to have about half the side full of premiership players. Giuffreda, Thompson, Toumpas, Redden and Goldsworthy (pending injury) have the opportunity to be the first Eagles players to win three league premierships. The Eagles have also never won back to back.

Glenelg will likely be improved with the return of Partington, who missed the 2nd Semi while the Eagles will likely lose Goldsworthy. Two highly skilled players, the pendulum swings in Glenelg’s favour on paper due to these changes.

Which team can maintain the intensity for longer? What moves, which players, what moments will determine the outcome of the game?

Should be an absolute cracker. Eagles have perhaps built to be the form team at the moment, while Glenelg have generally found a way to win all season without being dominant. I expect the Eagles to match Glenelg on ball and have enough potency and be well enough coached to win by 10 points!

TAB odds
Glenelg $1.60
Eagles $2.35

Wasn’t the last match between these two teams wet ?
Eagles won that game not sure if it matters in the GF

Why the hatred? If anything it should be Eags hating the doggies after all our GF losses to you!

Awful weather predicted for Sunday. Has there ever been an SANFL finals series that has rained every week/game?

Everything about the club, the bloody bright yellow guernseys, junk club song (not that ours is much better), blokes like Colville, McGregor and Cicolella, the Crows love in, the list goes on and on.

Then you went and kept making GF's against us and just hanging on like a fly to shit. Ruined what should have been some great days out against Port, Norwood, Sturt supporters.

The luxury of making so many in a row, we then got to complain about who our competitors were. 07,08,09,10 was absolutely magnificent though.

Weather may not be quite as bad as it initially looked; rain for Sunday downgraded and should mostly be morning. Mind you, still six days out, so could change.

I'm thinking, or possibly hoping more than thinking, that much like 2019 the close second semi loss has done us no harm at all, given the breaks we had leading up to it. I think we'll win in a pretty close one.
No Surrender!
