Why rugby is better than Soccer

unequivocal evidence on why soccer is merely a recreation pastime as opposed to rugby wich like our great game (Australian football is a game for men)

Pls note both of these film clips are taken from the pinacle of each recreational pastime(soccer) /sport (Rugby) - the World Cup final.

Note the difference in ethics amongsts the participants I'll let you judge which of the participants just went out there to play vs engage in gamesmanship.....

I love virtually any sport, but the Rugby's are 2 sports ive never been able to get into, even seeing it live...Im going to Canberra for a holiday next year during Super 14's so might try and catch a game to see if I can garner any sort of interest...

Explain your reason to the rest of the world then. Football in Australia is a universal word. Talk to a Queenslander about football and out comes the Wally Lewis & Mal Maninga stories, talk to someone at Randwick about football and they'll recall Mark Ella & David Campese, talk to a Tasmanian and they'll mention Royce Hart or Peter Hudson, talk to someone else and the footballers they talk about are blokes like Jonny Warren & Mark Viduka.

no worries sounds great! have to find out the dates from the wife as she has already booked the airfares and it will only be one weekend so I guess we would have to be lucky to strike a game...its in Feb sometime, thats when it starts isnt it?

As bad as soccer is, I still prefer it to Rugby League.

Of the 3 "other" footy codes, my ranking would be 1) Rugby Union 2) Soccer 3) Rugby League.

i have been an aussie rules fan all my life, i used to argue with the in laws about soccer and how everyone knows where a round ball will bounce, and how can you get excited over a nil all draw....BUT, my son has played soccer for 11 years now, and after watching and learning more about it i have come to really appriciate it and enjoy it. Its just the idiots the fall over after the slightest touch who spoil it and make it look stupid.
