Maybe the league should get rid of the import rule so clubs dont have tell player that they are no longer allowed to play here............... Instead of making the strong weaker, make the weak stronger. Raise the Bar

Cant divulge a good source, dont quote me on the rumour, but it may have some serious merit.

Have you heard anything to contradict; Brad Man and Panther?

No nothing at all, i just think it is sad that a team i have heard described as the good as the South Gawler team of the early 90's and the Nuri side of the mid 90's is no longer going to be together because they have won to flags and the league wants to cut them down.

Ahh i see! he's not much of a player anyway is he?? I remember he was pretty chubby when he played for North Adelaide a couple of years ago. Wouldn't have thought Barossa would be too worried about losing a player who wants to go back home. There'd still be plenty of talent at Barossa

Just love local footy, have enjoyed seeing the Freeling and Barossa over the past 2 year, I just wish the BLG directors would help the lower side in the BLG like the Angaston and Nuri. to get to the standards set by the top side and this should not be done by reducing the good side to help poor sides The import numbers in the BLG will go from 48 to 26, thus the quality of the comp will suffer. No need for Robin Hood to appear in this comp. Stealing from the rich to give to the poor, there is plenty of food for all

Angaston won the flag in 2003! everyone has to have their turn at the bottom! South and Freeling are the only tow teams who havent won a flag for around 15 years!

Agree Macdog 3, so why not assist them to set a new HIGHER standard. Next year Freeling have the same number of imports as a Angaston or a South

Fair enough Brad man but freeling have played off in the last 3 grand finals while South has not been in the finals for the past 5 years! i would think its about time freeling were bought 'back to the pack' they have had 9 imports for some time now...

Seem like we both agree with each other Mac, i just want the standard of the BLG to remain high. If you were a director what would be your import numbers for each side.

good question Brad... I can accpet that teams such as freeling, angaston, kapunda should have a few more than other teams due to their isolated locations but i think the recent quota that Barossa and Freeling (8 and 9 i think) is just ridiculous!

heres my stab...

Anagaston (5)
Barossa (5)
Centrals (3)
Willaston (3)
South (4/5)
Kapunda (5)
Tanunda (4)
Nuri (4/5)
Freeling (5)

what are your thoughts Brad Man

I think that is about right, maybe one less for Tanunda. With those numbers the quality of the BLG is protected and all teams can have the side to play final, Well done. Now can you get on the board of the BLG. With the 2008 structure the comp will be a lower standard.
