The Bedge wrote:I think sport will resume this weekend - why? A lot of us get caught up with our own senior competitions and forget about the kids. SANFL Juniors only has a month left of games (+finals for the higher age groups), i'm sure other winter sports are similar.
This is the demographic we really want and need playing sport still, and some dont play a summer sport, so think SA Gov would be eager to get these kids back out there to enjoy what's left of their season sooner rather than later.

Also think it slightly goes against the governments approach of being extremely cautious.

NSW is a different case.
They lost control of their contact tracing. That's when it should have been lockdown for them. Instead they stayed with mild restrictions.
This is not a one size fits all approach to the virus. Just cause I question the need for a lockdown here, doesn't mean others shouldn't have pulled the trigger sooner.
Doing nothing doesn't work, equally jumping straight to level 10 is overkill. There needs to be a proportionate, measured approach.
We never had a case that we couldn't explain where it came from.
As soon as the initial cluster was identified, and people were placed in directed quarantine, we never had a case from outside the bubble.
Our contact tracing in SA is world class. I have faith in that system. Let them do their job.
Sure, if it gets beyond them and unknown source cases emerge, then go to a lockdown, but to simply jump straight to lockdown shows a lack of respect to our world class contact tracing team.

By only the still photo evidence it is definitely not a good look.
I think Daisies assessment on the media is quite correct scum media as per usual they sensationalise a story.
From what i can see in this vid the mans hand was in a formed fist but his left arm was fully extended and looks like he was fending off the horses head i cannot see where he has actually taken a swing at the horse.
Any way my two bobs worth may be it should be referred to the AFL VCR Panel for adjudication.

The fact they haven't made a decision as of today makes me more optimistic.

Which by this time its too late. The virus is out and the virus is spreading.
You can argue that our cautious leaders are too quick to jump to Level 10 but you can't argue that we have seemingly (touch wood), again, come out of this much better due to their quick reactions.

Gadj made a very interesting point in the ammo thread.

BTW, if you think that was in any way fending off the horse then you've clearly taken Dorothy from room 46's meds and not yours.
