Broken Hill is exempt.
Evidently not, i have a job in Broken Hill to do and just been rung and told to put it on hold as we cant travel back from there
Maybe it's only residents and not visitors then? Would make no sense but who knows.
"There is a 100km border exemption corridor into NSW. People living in far western NSW areas including Wentworth and Broken Hill are exempt, under orders of Police Commissioner"

The AFL has to be canned otherwise the government will lose any of the respect it had remaining

You mean to say that being vaccinated doesn't prevent us from having to quarantine when we travel?
No wonder there's no demand to get jabbed.

The flight had already taken off before the decision was madeDutchy wrote:Jim05 wrote:Border to NSW closed and a Qantas flight half way here has told passengers they will be turning around and going home on the next flight unless exempted.

**** SA Health, at least have the decency of telling the passengers before they jump on the plane, you would be filthy.Trader wrote:MW wrote:Interesting tweet from Tom Gleeson...he was refused entry into WA even though he is fully vaccinated.

Exactly

The vaccine is supposed to stop you getting seriously ill, it does not stop you catching the virus or passing it on. Until 60% or more of our population is vaccinated I can’t see any quarantine free travel happeningTrader wrote:MW wrote:Interesting tweet from Tom Gleeson...he was refused entry into WA even though he is fully vaccinated.

Decent and common sense yes.Dutchy wrote:Jim05 wrote:

Then the decent thing to do would be to let these people in

Of course all of NSW shouldn't be locked out, it's crap that we close borders to each state.am Bays wrote:Trader wrote:MW wrote:Interesting tweet from Tom Gleeson...he was refused entry into WA even though he is fully vaccinated.

Did he just say it or did he provide proof (myGov or the email you get)
If you can’t provide the actual proof….
However I’m not 100% convinced all of NSW need to be locked out of SA) certainly all of Greater Sydney even Newiwe and the aging potentially but not sure about the rest.

No. It will eventually be similar to the flu where 1000’s die every year. The vaccine will hopefully prevent serious illness and hospitalisation so once enough people are vaccinated things will open up and those who refuse to be vaccinated can risk itTrader wrote:Jim05 wrote:The vaccine is supposed to stop you getting seriously ill, it does not stop you catching the virus or passing it on. So if the vaccine doesn't stop you catching it and spreading it (which I agree is the case), then why would they let us travel at all?
There is a large percentage of the population that can't get vaccinated for various reasons, and by allowing quarantine free travel, you'll be putting all these unvaccinated people at risk.
Travel is going to be banned forever at this rate!

Pregnant women were not included in the original clinical trials to test COVID-19 vaccines for safety. But there is no evidence of any harm associated with the vaccine during pregnancy.
