That's the kicker isn't it.

It is already in place (thanks to South and Centrals) so McEntee will not play against Sturt this year.

The flat fee of $10,000 applies for the Mid-Season Rookie Draft without any exclusions.
As was the case in 2019, players selected in the Mid-Season Rookie Draft will need approval from their original state league club should the two teams meet during the season, while the Mid-Season draftee will be eligible to return to their original club for finals if not required by their AFL club.
Does this mean that Callow can come back and play for Norwood if they Make Finals ??

Technically yes they can. Lachie Hosie was in similar boat couple of years ago when Bays won Premiership, but as Kangaroos had given him a contract for the following year, he was therefore a Kangaroos player and could not come back and play Finals. Would say Callow will end up in the same boat.

Not sure how it works if the Hawks reserves make VFL finals either.DOC wrote:tnt wrote:From AFL website : http://www.afl.com.au/news/526423/will- ... ck-in-2021

Yes he can, but, Hawthorn will only let him if they are going to delist him at season end IMHO.
