Was interesting to hear Forman accidentally let slip last night (only slightly prematurely mind you) that Holmes was gone as well. Credit to KG for picking up on it but you could tell Forman didn't mean to say what he (Forman) did.
Unfortunate but it looks like the '36ers are going to have to pay for the gross mismanagement of Basketball SA for a couple of seasons at the least I would guess.
Would be interested to hear from someone who is a bit more familiar with the situation but I was hearing as far back as early 2003 that something was not right at Basketball SA.

Here comes the spoon for the sixer's and I bet Farley bails out next when he sees what is left - Brett Maher and a half fit Mark Nash. Joy oh joy

A true shame that a proud club traditionally ran well can be stuffed up by their owners.
A very sad time for a true SA icon.
If I was Phil Smyth I'd bail too.

A few years ago there was a report about a new privately owned club that was going to be based down south was on the cards ant that they were courting Smyth and a few of the 6ers, does anyone know what happened to that?

What the sixers need is to be privately owned and someone throw buckets of money at players - even if we have to cheat the cap as Sydney have done it for years with no repercussions.

His step daughter is in my son's class at school, and he was at school playing basketball with the kids a couple of weeks ago, sounds like he loves Adelaide and is pretty keen on staying for a long time, he might be all we've got left the way it's going.

What's Robert Gerard doing these days?

History shows that if we breach the salary cap, we'll get the book thrown at us.

We still hold the record fine for salary cap breaches.

so sydney have cheated the cap but north havent....oh now i see ;)

Get over it Jimmy - this about basketball not football - and have North been caught no because we are not cheating. Wait until Sturt get into a better financial position and recruit - then we will beat that salary cap cheating drum about Sturt.

Some of you just don't give up, you're like little kids running around the school playground with penis envy, you just don't know when to stop.
If North, or any other club are found guilty of salary cap breaches, go your hardest, until then, shut the fu*k up.
It's amazing how some of the morons on this site can turn a topic about nothing to do with footy into a North (or at times, other clubs) bashing thread.

Not offended at all, if your school girl banter wasn't so repetative noone would bother. It's sad to think that you probably actually believe the dribble you post about salary cap etc. must make you feel better about Sturt and thier lack of recruiting etc.( )
