Or whatever. How often does it come to fruition? Almost never.
D6/7 has always had high calibre players. It's not the top end of teams that causes clubs to be in lower divisions. It's the lack of depth and consistency of talent.
What the "guns" very quickly realise is that its not tennis or another individual sport. It's a team game. And you're reliant on the talent of others. In these divisions that talent isn't always there.
If you're a midfielder, maybe you won't have that elite tap ruckman putting it exactly where you want it or the defensive team mate block for you every time. If you're a forward maybe the kicks are to the left right down up and not on your nips. If you're a defender maybe you don't get that team defensive help.
Invariably those more talented players try to do too much, fail, get frustrated and then don't deliver on expectations.
