Anyone know of a decent pub in the city that has TAB and decent priced drinks on a Saturday arvo?

I hear that the TAB is closed in the casino sports bar?

Sh!t, I didn't think of there and my daughter has just started working there.

I didn't bother in the end, I just had a few at my local and then ubered into town after the last at Caulfield.

Yep, dopey me, I knew I'd be going there and was gonna sign up online on the Friday, ended up taking nearly an hour to get in and membered up, did get a free drink for singing up but only stayed for that drink, I had one spin on the roulette wheel and picked four numbers for $5 a shot, picked up about $170 for it so cashed in and went looking for somewhere else to go as they didn't have what I wanted open.

Found the Lady Burra Brewhouse and spent the rest of the evening there, they (or me) stuffed my drink order up 3 times in a row but what looked like a stout was a very flavoursome beer, sample a couple of different ones by accident but all were very nice.

Had a pub who sponsored our rugby league club many moons ago.. we used to put the trophies we won in their cabinet in the front bar.

The club folded a few years back now, and they still have the trophies.. one is a premiership trophy for the side I coached.

I need to know.. is it rude to ask for it back? Surely they'd want to clear out old space?

Not at all, if the Rugby Club is no longer I reckon the pub would rather the trophies go to someone who would hold onto the history ahead of them putting it in a skip bin one day. I'd have no problems asking them for it/them.

Surely you could make up a cool story about a reunion or something.

No doubt you'll change the tags on it and name it "International Player of The Year" with your name on it.

Mate of mine recently lost his dad and has the unenviable task of going through all the stuff in his house. Includes my mates collection of South Adelaide memorabilia and knick-knacks from back in the 80's (Video highlights, letters to and from the players, budgets, club publications etc). He doesn't really have a place for any of it these days, so I suggested to him to either see if the club wants it or I'll put him in touch with a loyal Southy so it could go to a good home. Any South fans out there think the club would be interested in such stuff?

Has anyone had trouble with insomnia, if so, how did you sort it? I basically go to bed around 9ish and wake up around 1am then sometimes I may fall back asleep by 4 or 5, just in time for the alarm.

I'd rather not use prescription drugs.

I too sleep like shit. Bed around 9-9:30, I was up for my old man piss around 2-3am ( all good boys, had it checked ) and toss* and turn for an hour or so before the alarm goes off at 6.

My plantar fascia is on the improve so I've started doing a walk after work and I don't look at my phone in bed, no screen time in the last half hour before bed and I'm finding I'm going to sleep faster and staying asleep longer, usually until 4 ish but then I'm awake.

Recently Sundays were my nightmare sleeping days. Take some melatonin and now I find I'm sleeping a whole lot better.
