David St. Stubbings moving on? He's well regarded. Could have got a SACA coaching role maybe?

You have to wonder what they are paying their coaches and players. Fact they can use University money for this stuff is a disgrace. How they can entice players by paying their HECS debt is crap.
Other clubs are not competing on the same levels. The sooner they kick them out of the comp the better. The fact Tom Plant would have got a $20k bonus if they won the Club Championship last year sums up the money they are paying.
Most Clubs will really feel the affect of SACA funding being halved, while Uni will be laughing all the way to the bank. What a farce!

Agree 100% Eags however unfortunately my impression is Uni control SACA as well with all their lawyer mates to scare off anyone who dares challenge them!?!

They certainly do MC, have people in very high places! I know when we were going thru our battle few years ago to survive, we must have made some comment re Uni and got a threatening legal letter from Adam Kimber - the DPP at the time, highest legal person in the system.

Will run a couple. Please post your 5-4-3-2-1 votes for main ovals and also 5-4-3-2-1 votes for second ovals.
You can factor in pitch, outfield, changerooms, clubrooms, viewing for spectators/players, surrounds... or whatever you value most highly.

Played on almost all these ovals, but my opinion will be out of date...
Main ovals:
5 - University (loved it was close to Adel Oval, the church bells, the old scoreboard which kept your score and the nice outfield).
4 - Henley Oval (a bit biased, nice sea breeze, never too hot)
3 - Woodville Oval
2 - Parkinson Oval
1 - Salisbury Oval
Second Ovals
5 - Unley Oval (better than Price)
4 - Henley High (better than Henley Oval to play on)
3 - St Clair
2 - Camden
1 - University #2

If the under 16's are using this ground it is the biggest joke of all time. This ground the only way to score is to hit the ball in the air due to the infield and outfield being so thick.
The wicket is horrific.
if you were a young kid why would you play for SD if you had to play on this every second game go down the road and play for Reynella. this ground was a joke and when they pulled it from the C's and D;s I thought that SACA finally listened to all the complaints - but instead its a junior ground give me a break.
There has to be a better ground in the area - and i haven't even started on limited shade and facilities!! the WORST ground I've ever played cricket at in 20+ yearts of playing!
