Side is no good. Think there was a couple of token gestures in there to make sure that all sides were represented which shouldn't happen. I mean Yeomans is a good example. He wont win our B&F, hasn't played in the forward pocket all year and still snuck in the sid

What a Joke!
Whats the Signifigance of the Victor Times Team of the Year?
Surley a Team of the Year has to be Made up of the BEST Players deserving of a spot reguardless of how many there are from one team. To stipulate that there must be at least one from each team is Farcical.
As for the coach of the year, if its not going to be the premiership coach or the coach of the team that finishes minor premier, how else could it be anyone else? Whats coaching at Assoc and Zone level got to do with it when the other 9 coaches either didn't have time to do it or given the opportunity. Going on that theorey, if Mark Williams Quits the Power next Year and Coaches Yankalilla to 5th spot, he would be Coach of the year bcos of his AFL Record.

Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an effort by Willunga! Its not nice to bring up the word 'choke', but for Creeks to go in to both the A and B GF's without a loss and to come home with nothing the word has to be mentioned. Mitch Portlock was brilliant while Hams finished well all day. As for the Creeks, all those big names we've heard all year just didint fire.

About 30 points in the end! I still cant beleive it. I think win lose or draw Simmo was leaving the Creek but they cant even be semi positive, it was a disaster

I've heard there were some doubts, but now that they've failed at the last hurdle, maybe he'll go on another years, who knows..

Creeks definately had stage fright, they played 'hope we dont choke' football while Willunga played 'been there done that football'.

This may be of no interest but here are the Saints trophy winners for 07

B&F Mark McGuinness
2nd Brad Yeomans
Most Consist. Ian Dunbar
Best Team Man Jadan Dycer
Coaches Brett McKinlay
Best Utility Travis Griffen

Maybe LIMBS' Unbeatable 'B' Grade team getting beaten in the last minute of the game put Last minute Doubts into the minds of the Creeks 'A' Graders.
The Withdrawl of Spearhead Tim Follett at the last minute Bcos of a leg infection combined with the above all put little doubts into their minds and they may have started to thing WHAT IF we get beaten?
From what i've heard, Willunga played their best footy for the year whilst the Creeks just had too many players having an OFF day. Whether that was through Nerves, Complacency or just being outplayed, who Knows, But one thing is for sure that there will be a Good Chance that these two teams will be there on GF day next year again to Battle it out.

PS.
Limb has just been spotted under heavy sedation and still in shock following His last minute Loss in the 'B' Grade GF and this came on top of His 3 Run Loss in last seasons 'B' Grade Cricket GF when he was last man out.
Was Captain of both teams, ah Well Limb, No one can Take away that Brilliant indoor Cricket Premiership a few years ago when I played under your astute captaincy. Long live "Peg Leg and the Seeds"

Any Thoughts on where Willunga go from here? Will they continue their run and win 5 in a row? What about players like Hams, Steele, Thompson, will any of them pull the pin?

I think that clearly the word "choke" has to be mentioned in this case. Does anyone know of any club that has had both grades that have been undefeated all year, yet crumble in the most important game of the year?
Was it just a bad day for the creeks, a case of arrogance where they thought that all they had to do was just rock up and win, or a little bit of both?

On another note, I see that McLaren won both junior grade Grand Finals, good effort there.

Dont think the Creek were cocky, just thought they were scared to make mistakes. It certainly wasn't anywhere near the Creek side we've seen all year. Take nothing away from Willunga they were sensational!!!!

Not quite sure what the seniors moment alludes to?
Was quite possibly the most complete team performance weve played in a few years. We were committed to the ball and the man and worked hard both ways which didnt allow the langhorne creek players and particularly there midfield any time and space to deliver to there forwards.
We nullified James' dominance in the ruck to an extent which allowed us to take the ball away from the midfield and Baz made some good calls with selections and placements which worked in our favour! Langhornes had a great season but would be bitterly disappointed with the result and im sure they will be back next year stronger again.
The boys are on cloud 9 and we head to the Gold Coast tomorrow morning for footy trip!
I believe Mt Compass will be up there also so will be good to have a beer and a laugh with those lads over the weekend!
