Champ im a life member of a club in div 7. Have played a lot of footy in div 7 but needed a change this year and played in the Mallee League. Played div 6 for united and the top div 7 teams would challange most teams in that grade.

lol..to much..a CLG team made up of good fringe A graders from a SFL league club..will match it with the top teams in div 5??..lol..they aint even thru div 6 yet, fitzroy or ALFC would have pulverised them this year..also, trials mean nothing..i remember playing uni in a A grade trial one year..we beat them..they went onto the GF in a1 and we finished bottom of a3..trials are exactly that..a trial..peace out

I understand what some people are saying that there are some quality footballers in Div 7 but thats exactly it quality indiviuals. Good sides dont just stay down in the lower Divs if they are a good side Hence the Promotion relagation system. Some sides may have half a dozen quality players but that doesn't make up a team thats what i think the point of this arguement is about.

I would hope and expect that the div 7 grade has gotten better since wingfield, henley etc were playing in a similar grade four to six or seven years ago. The standard wasn't too bad but some of the c/d grade sides from div 1 clubs were beating them then. Somebody else wrote that the top 5-6 players are very handy but it is the bottom 5-6 that define a side - I think this is quite correct.
I'd expect the top sides in c1 and c2 to be competitive in division 7 but not win the flag.

By the way just a pointer on the odd occasion that I have met Zedman he would have one of the most intelligent footy brains I have come across.I think hes played div 1 if my memory serves me correct aswell.......

Are you serious?
Mate CLG would challenge and push both those sides in Div 5 with the side they got now.
Didn't CLG play Mitcham in a trial and belt them by over 100 points?

Ever stop and think they may have played Mitchams C & D grades, I could be wrong but I fail to see why a top 3 div 4 side would play a div 7 side in a trial. You judge a club by trials. Ok then tell me how we beat Hackham in a trial when Hackham made the SFL div 1 finals that year and we got knocked of in an elimination final in divy 6.I love my club but would never be that far ahead of myself to suggest we would have been a top 5 SFL side that year. There are some great players going around div 7,but there is even better going around div 6,better in div 5 and so on.......Btw I hate CLG

What's the go with Hooker leaving Trinity as coach?
Duncs what happened? does this mean you will still be "retired" now in 08?

Henley players & SAAFL Umpires from last round Henley vs Kaurna game turned up to an investigation last night. They waited an hour before being called in and advised that the investigation will be postponed until Karnua Eagles make a commitment to attend at some point in the future. Chances are this will never happen & if it does not happen then it is likely that they will be dis-affiliated with the SAAFL & will no longer be in the competition.
It was indicated that if they do front the investigation at some stage then it is possible they will still be kicked out.

From what I can gather - Hooker still coaching Tosers. Club hopeful Whisto will be playing.

Yep no one seems to know anything about this Collingwood guy coaching. Dodgy source me thinks. If it was true Hooks would be the unluckiest coach ever. Sacked after a prelim in Div 5, then sacked again after getting a team promoted.

I know a lot about Whiston. It seems they're just hopeful he play some more games, like he did last year. Very fit cat. An ex state triathlete at junior level.
