Christ, looks like there's going to be a record amount of draws in this league this year, no wonder it's going backwards at a rapid rate of knots.
Central Coast with a few wins under their belt plus Mori should get a few more wins though.
Just shows the standard of the Z-League when an old bloke who doesn't even train with a side can dominate scoring for 2 or 3 years.

Thats not really the case, players such as Romario, Carbone, Moore, come to this league and can not belive how high the standard is, I dont think how Mori goes is as such a reflection of the quality of the league, but more to the quality of the player.
As for Draws, all that means is an even comp, they are not boring or scoreless draws, but usually very entertaining, dont really see how draws means the league is going backwards at a rapid rate, it just keeps going foward, hence why Football (Soccer) will be the 2nd biggest Football code in the country by the end of 2007.

Dude if you think the Z-League is even close to what the NSL used to be you're completely deluded.
We used to have players like Viduka playing not to mention Internationals at their peak like Dixie Deans.
It's not Australian's soccer's fault though, its just that there's so much more money overseas than there used to be, it can't be helped, just a bad time for a new comp to start when the standard is at its lowest.

i was never interested in NSL even though i've played soccer for many years, it wasn't until the a-league came about that it appealed to me. as a young kid i used to wonder why other countries played soccer in australia (seriously) i.e. teams called croatia, juventas, hellas, etc. if you don't have parents that follow it it can be just plain confusing

Depends which part of the NSL you're talking about and you've got to remember the NSL had 20 teams in it at one stage.

Being a traditional sort of fan who follows clubs not entitites I only loved the NSL (and I don't have any ethnic blood in me to my knowledge - Anglo on one side and Aborginal on the other).

But these days as the AFL shows quite often its all about getting the theatre goers to games with marketing.
That saddens me hence whey I love the SANFL so much.

Adelaide City's crowds towards the end were ordinary but I can tell you they used to get over 10k to games going up against the VFL and SANFL in the middle of winter at Kensington Oval whilst attracting clubs like NY Comsos which had players like Pele (who didn't tour), Frans Bekenbaur, etc.
