Let me guess - after the game they'd stroll over to Alberton East and give the toffs a serve before looking for a house party to gate-crash in Kelmscott or Everton, or perhaps wander over the wrong side of the tracks to find some trouble in 'Gray-Town.'

Hyde Park wankers.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Question is, what the f*ck happened to you mate?

Or, how was he fortunate to emigrate from a life of drudgery and misfortune??? ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

And just on the St. Paul’s schooling I mentioned in my reply post to the above.

Played school footy with some decent players in my year level, Andrew Obst amongst them. Every year we’d play against Gilles Plains as they were the neighbouring school....got the line up on Jars on a few occasions IIRC.

Yep, but you weren't raising them, you were digging them into the ribs jumping into the scrum on the ground

And raising knees now for me is impossible with a fat gut in the way

It was used as the sewerage works before the golf course was built on there in the late 70s

Definitely a very interesting look at all the old suburb names and the amount that have changed over the years and still continue to do so.

https://digital.collections.slsa.sa.gov.au/nodes/view/2108

I picked up a copy of this in book form about 10 or 12 years ago from the RAA in Hindmarsh Square, $20 I think.

Whatever they copied it from is in mint condition - e.g. no stains or fraying or anything like the one in the link. Maybe they'd be open to reproducing it again if there's enough interest.

It's interesting to look at from time to time. I've always thought the scale of the tram system was incredible for a city of perhaps a few hundred thousand. E.g. there were trams down Goodwood Road, King William Road, Unley Road, Duthy Street, Fullerton Road, Glen Osmond Road, Portrush Road, and that's only south of the CBD. I mean there were trams snaking their way through side streets, similar to Melbourne. Also the absence of Frome Street, which was actually only constructed in the 1960s with the intention of taking traffic away from KWS.

Interesting re: the CBD is the 'exhibition building' on North Terrace facing the northern end of Pulteney Street (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubilee_Exhibition_Building), and the oval behind it, which is Jubilee Oval (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubilee_Oval_(Adelaide)).

They also seem to have realigned the beginning of Montefiore Road.

Yep, my lad claims that he was Adam's inspiration to grow a sick mullet for the show, the young lad is supporting a fair hair don't at the moment.
