Pendles actually said...there will not be a lot of accountability.
Goal fest bruise free footy.....similar to how Melbourne played last year...without the goals.

I know, oh well haha!

Geez '94 game really was high quality though.. Wanganeen a beauty.. it's a shame that level of quality, competitiveness and passion couldn't be maintained and eventually died out. :(

Was chatting footy with a customer today and the conversation turned to the SOO game tonight. The guy knows I’m from SA originally and asked how I felt about “Cheering” for the Allies, or whatever they are called. Said I’m a bit meh about the whole thing really, it’s not like the good old days of SA vs The Big V....... then as I was leaving some words came out of my mouth, that I’d never thought would. I feel cheap, nasty and degraded... I said.... and I really can’t believe it..... “go Crows”. I had a bit of vomit in my mouth shortly thereafter.

Entertaining start to game, the intensity in terms of speed of ball movement is right up there. Nice to watch all these guns play together.

Was a good spectacle to watch as skills were generally top notch. No team structures/defence contributed to this which you wouldn't see in a normal game these days. Keep it as a charitable event every 3-4 years so it keeps its appeal.
