What's worse, poor 5AA coverage or no 5AA coverage.

I flicked around the four stations yesterday - but mainly stuck to Life FM. Life and RPH - sounded like every other week they do, fantastic job to both commentary teams.

ABC Radio wasn't too bad.

5AA was about as good as Channel 7's AFL coverage
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

Too bad Doug didnt put the same passion into his match reviews when he had the chance.
I would hardly think he should be throwing stones re- homework etc. as some of his work verged on being laughable.
I heard parts of the 2nd game and thought David Wildy, Josh Francou and Friar Tuck did a pretty good job. :) :)

Well done to Doug for having the proverbials to say it. A disgraceful effort that paid absolutely no respect to SANFL fans or the listeners. No reason whatsoever for that happening, with a bit of planning or foresight.

All the "Where Are They Now" segments, all the spots for the next three weeks, all the bleating about being "Adelaide's home of football" means absolutely sod all when that sort of garbage is rolled out.

Personally I listen to 5AA on the weekdays, Sat. & Sun mornings and the odd lead up to a game, but I can't stand their call of a game, too overhyped and overdone, even if they cross to 3AW for a call, Rex Hunt gives me the shits, same crap different caller. ABC for AFL for me and Life or 'RPH for SANFL, come to think of it do Coast still do the SANFL, don't think I've heard them for a while.

At 5AA they have paid big money for AFL Radio broadcasting rights. They have to recoup this through commercial sales of advertising. That is the simple reason they pay limited heed to the SANFL.

The solution would be to use their "name" personalities for special comments only and to bring in radio callers familiar with the clubs/players. A couple of specialist SANFL types.

I had been out with the wife and went to collect something whilst she waited in the car. Got back in to find her listening to 5AA. She is not an avid follower yet her first comment when I got in the car was that the commentary was so bad she didn't know what was even going on! Solution? Change radio stations. Cheers 5RPH! Your commitment to the comp buys loyalty - it's that simple. As for AFL? ABC radio every time - although I am partial to the 3AW relays.

Cutterman I could hear your voice reading your reply to the Eagles version of Peter Griffin!
You tell him son! Do love your work!

p.s. I reckon the Eagles wings are clipped, the Tiger will growl and the Blue, Green and Yellow birds will be out of the finals exactly a week later than our Blue Bus left the oval. I know this post don't belong here but stiff!

How much credibility does Doug have though? He was pretty much a permanent SANFL scribe and still made some very basic factual errors.

No worries LEH. Just testing the depth of the water. The SANFL & AFL should be swapped, R23 was about SANFL last round game timing.

I'm not trying to have a go at you LEH but while I've got your attention.. from a quick look through the posts of "Eagles v North" there's not one from you, yet you barrage other supporters with crap about their team and ok it's meant as a joke but it's pretty boring, this is what I meant about a "crusade", you seem driven in one direction. I just don't get the point of it. Enjoy your finals.
