Got the better of me so I read his post. "Port fans are front runners"
Richmond home crowd averages :
2010 37,452 Finished 15th
2014 43,196 Finished 8th
2018 61,175 Finished 1st
Hawthorn home crowd averages :
2006 28,109 Finished 11th
2010 37,876 Finished 7th
2019 31,077 Finished 9th
Just a quick look at two of the club to win multiple premierships in recent times almost suggests there's a correlation between not playing well and crowd numbers falling. There is, look ^ there.

Correct, but they'll be points based and we already had our own 2nd rounder and St Kilda's for next year, we also get round 4 from Melbourne.
So 2 x round 2, 1 x round 3 and 2 x round 4 next year.
Doesn't look that great, but that will be on the back of 6 first rounders in two years ( 3 last year, 3 this year ) and we'll use all the 50+ picks we have this year for Mead who would have been a first rounder* ( potentially ) meaning possible 7 x 1st rounders in two years.
Really building a squad for 3-5 years from now, hard sell for the membership department and will be interesting if we finish 10th again with Hinkley out of contract if we do.

Yeah it’s a hard sell for the members but must be just as hard for your gun players with only a few years left in their career aswell. Not much fun for Gray, Boak etc knowing they could potentially not see finals action for the remainder of the career. At the end of the day though I think it’s the right choice to go down this path

Is that a poor reflection on him or Port?

How did he fair at Port in time trials?
I’m assuming he was towards the back of the pack?
