[quote="former legend"] peake coach is considering a job at taliem bend ,so paralowie boys may not have to travel the mallee highway next year.

Heard the Peake blokes weren't that fond of the coach and maybe heading further down the Mallee Highway than Peake and maybe even across the border. Only if the money is right and their mate malleebull plays.

Well if they can spend the alleged $100,000 then surely between 4 or 5 blokes, that's some good pocket money!!

former legend wrote:why dont you tell full story about waterboy . was not a boy but kersbrook president and brother of the two player who had just thrown mallee bull into fence , from what i have been told. so dont make it sound like he hit a innocent kid just running water and if your right about the money murrayville is paying crowmucher there will only be 5 teams in mallee next year because the club will have to fold

O.K. here you go. MalleeBull was playing for TV in last years prelim and received a yellow card for doing something stupid. As he was walking off, he walked past the Kersbrook President who was on the field at the time running water who quietly told him 'Ya got you deserved'. This sent MalleeBull crazy, ran at the water steward and cracked him 3 or 4 times, to which the water steward did NOT retaliate. MalleeBull was smart enough to do this in front of the HFL officials who promptly put him on report and gave him a 6 match ban. The TV coach moved him on (back to Murrayville). How's that?? Still convinced MalleeBull is a sweet innocent bloke??

no one said he was a sweet an innocent bloke but you forgot to mention that he had just cop one and the president got in the face of an oppositon player and he only got 4 games which probably would have been two if went to the tribunal and defend him self. says alot for kersbrook president though

Sorry DW, but this guys facts are wrong! MalleeBull had not been just sent into a fence, HE had just been sent off for reckless behaviour. And the President was at least 5 metres away when he made comment, for which MalleeBull charged him. This nearly caused a full on riot between supporters that was thankfully calmed down. I will agree MalleeBull may hay have been hit hard every chance our players got to do it during the game, BUT only because our blokes knew he always willing to dish it out too.

A country football club spending 100K, thats a lot of money, thats a 3rd of our SANFL salary cap. What is there form of income. Is this a mining region or wine growing region. Obviously they have some big name stars with that sort of outlay, what names would be recognisable? Looking at the map it doesn't look that big of a town, but obviously has a very large population. How many pubs? Thats always a good guide for population! Very interesting! Might dig a little deeper!

Murrayville B&F was won by Damian Fenoughty, Luke Kirkbright was runner up this year. He still plays well after spending every friday night on the beers, the boy can drink! you'd be able to vouch for that DW? :D

And who thought the thread would would wind down after the season!!
Wuss no direct source re Murrayville and their senior teams next year- just post game rumour. My understanding is that Murrayville got money from bunker at silo yard- if it doesn't make the same money next year it will be tough to entice blokes back again. Remember they were bottom last year- it is not that unbelievable to think they may struggle??
