'Chris u need 2 talk 2 me b4 baby is born': Mystery graffiti covers Melbourne suburb

Who is Chris? And who wants Chris to talk?

Those questions have been puzzling the residents of Frankston in Melbourne's south-east where mysterious graffiti has appeared across the suburb calling for someone named "Chris" to get in touch "before the baby is born".

"Or don't bother after," the vandalism says, sometimes in spray-paint and other times in marker pen.

It is not clear if the graffiti has been done by a distressed pregnant woman, a concerned man, or whether it is a prank, an advertising stunt, or has been painted across Frankston by copycats.

"Chris u need 2 talk 2 me b4 baby is born or don't bother after," the graffiti says over and over again.

The graffiti gained worldwide attention after photos of it were posted on the Frankston Community Noticeboard Facebook page, where many local residents tagged their friends named Chris.

A Frankston City Council spokesman said clean-up crews had moved quickly to remove the graffiti.

He encouraged the people in question to "consider more constructive" ways of communicating.

Frankston mayor Michael O'Reilly said he hoped Chris and the mystery scribe can resolve their dispute, if it is genuine.

"I hope Chris and this mystery person can work through their issues, and in the future, refrain from undertaking illegal activities that bear a cost to ratepayers," he said.

The Facebook post on the Frankston Community Noticeboard was shared about 9700 times in 21 hours.

"It's everywhere around Frankston and it's just ridiculous for ratepayers to be paying for this kind of graffiti removal," Peter Burrows from the Facebook page told The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald.

The post was meant to be "tongue-in-cheek" to get the vandal to stop, he said.

"We posted the photos in an effort for the person to stop."

A Frankston council spokesman said council was alerted to the graffiti thanks to residents using the Snap Send Solve app, which sends maintenance alerts to authorities.

"Council acted quickly to remove the graffiti from affected areas, and would encourage those involved to consider more constructive, and less illegal ways of communicating in the future," the spokesman said.

I'm no graphology expert but the "2" is very similar in each piece of graffiti, suggests to me, at least, that Chris is in deep shit.

I play along, tell him my computer has been slow, what do I need to do etc. He gives me "Ctrl+Alt+Del" and I say "What sort of **** wit do you think I am?" ( No need for you guys to answer on his behalf. )

He gives me "Go **** yourself and then **** your mother" What? I just dump him.
