Pyke, miss finals and he is gone

He's not in the same bracket as those blokes, but if the Dogs miss the finals this year and next Beverage probably gets asked some questions? And as I've said before, when does Leon Cameron feel the heat?

I think Scott is eyeing off the GWS job.

Beveridge is an interesting one. After delivering the holy grail to the Dogs he'd pretty much have a job for life, but clubs (as they should) have high expectations and I don't think they'll want to miss out on finals action for too much longer. I'd say he's got at least this year and next before they get edgy.

Cameron, he looks like he's going to take them into another finals series (perhaps) but will that be enough to keep those at AFL house happy?

Whately and Chris Scott with an interesting segment on SEN this morning. Scott actually made a really good point on the home ground finals saga - The AFL wants Geelong playing finals against other Vic sides at the MCG so less supporters miss out on a ticket, but when GF day bowls around only %50 of tickets are available to the supporters anyway. Hypocrisy much?

This is surely a joke right?

HOCKING TARGETS TACKLES
Football boss Steve Hocking has identified tackling as an issue with the game, and is analysing ways to reduce the amount of tackling in the AFL.
"I have a very strong view on that....I don’t think there’s a number ... but certainly we don’t want that [tackling] necessarily as a skill" said Hocking.
"People should take confidence that we are looking at the right things"

No doubt.. played on soccer pitches - can take it global.. smaller squad sizes means the talent pool not stretched as thing but also means the can increase number of sides and make it a real shit franchise type setup.

So a question for regular AO attendees.
Got a couple of Bomber friends driving over for game and all GA tickets sold out. They have purchased decent seating but would prefer to come and stand behind the Northern goals with the rest of us. Is this possible as I know a couple of years ago security turned us away from heading behind the goals

You make a really good point, if they just were just an everyday business rather than sport you would say their only major growth area is internationally.

I doubt they will ever openly say it but I would have no doubt that as part of their international growth plan they are looking to adapt the rules to be 'less physical'

If you're down the Northern end can you keep an eye out for my dummy? I reckon I spat it that far on Sunday afternoon.

Fair chance mine will be there about 10 minutes into the first quarter after we put up our usual weak effort interstate
