I have since discovered how easy it is,

just go to website http://www.youtubex.com

copy the URL of the video you want, paste it into youtubex.com

download it

then just need converter, available on net to convert the file to compatible format

very easy

the program i use is UltraGet Video Downloader and to watch it i use FLVplayer

I haven't downloaded any youtube clips, but I assume that you just need software that does DVD authoring and use that - perhaps it will need to be converted to a file format compatible with the DVD software first.

I still use Nero for DVD authoring, has always been kind to me.

I downloaded the software from here.(it's not a large file and it's free)

Once installed on your pc place in the url of the video and it will download similar to an mp3 file. It also comes with it's own player. Works well for me and is rather simple.All the youtube videos are in flv format so to copy them to a dvd you will need to download a converter.
