I heard Ando was on for 2 years and will continue on next season. From what Ive seen the forward coach i think it was when they split huddles at the breaks seemed more capable coach then the other 2 and the B's coach seems a very good coach as well. Cove may regret not looking deeper into a coach Ando has a long record of straight sets and Prelim loses and they are a far better side then what they have produced or Ive at least seen.

They have the best attack in the comp yet watching Sunday they are very lazy. Talls dont chase and the smalls dont work hard at all to chase and get front and Centre. Backline was very small but I thought held themselves very well against a much larger forward-line which was recieving unpressured kicks and constant attack their run is great out of defence but it comes straight back in with what looks like lazy Midfielders and Forwards .

I hear that they are very unsettled side with players been chopped and changed around every week and that showed Sunday some players obviously out of position. On the list i think should be a new coach, bigger defender and some hard nosed smalls maybe a proper small forward as well. They have blooded some quality juniors by the looks but a very dissapointing end for the Cobras.

On what do you base they have the best attack in the comp? MVale scored more points for during the home and away season and played all the top sides apart from Cove twice! Surely the best attack in the comp should be able to score more than everyone else Turk?

Apologise ZC I meant to say talent wise. Ramsey State Amatuer Full Forward, Luke Weidermann Association CHF, Dan Reavill Association player/League Footballer, Thompson close to a ton this year I think and Matt Reavill And Josh Vick resting up there at stages now thats a rather talented forward-line that under achieved come the 2 biggest games. MV's obviously more points for but i think Coves potential was better

i have heard a few of the flaggies boys are leaving and looking in the GSFL for a club...any flaggies people confirm one name of Size....

If you're referring to Matt Size i would be astounded if he left. His father played plenty of games there and is the major sponsor, having said that stranger things have happened.

Probably add to the list of very average ex southern league footballers to chase the money offered by gsfl clubs.

I think Emus and Brighton might meet in the big one. Porties exceeding expectations and making up for previous years when when favoured but gone out in straight sets may push Emus for a while. Certainly have enough firepower up forward to cause a massive upset but hard to see anyone beating MV. Brighton may have too much run for Wineys but Milo will worry them. Close one for sure i reckon.

Still not sure what you mean turk. the best/ "most talented" forwards in the league would have to be the team that scored the most goals wouldnt it??. thats a forwards job. they obviously cant be as talented as you think if they cant get it together in the big games.
a talented group of players they may be but "the most talented" some mite beg to differ.

Yeah true always up for debate anyways MV obviously the best group around i'll tip a MV - Fly GF again although both games will be tight this week. Milo could be the difference Sunday they will need him to play a large roll against a smaller side but I also think Sitters will have a massive game he is a quality player dont know if the Bombers have the quality to match at least on these 2 ATM.

Agree mate i think both finals will be good games but at the end of the day the best 2 sides in the comp will fight it out again i reckon

No-one poached him you idiot, he's best mates with an Encounter Bay player, he went out to Encounter off his own accord AFTER seeking out Victor Harbour if they'd take him. His clearance was rejected as a required player at Flaggies - end of story and no hassel.

You were pretty quiet the other week Hills after losing to Imps and now all of a sudden you've piped up again! I'm looking forward to having a quiet week next week, not having to listen to your dribble after the Imps knock you off again this saturday!!! Shows how dedicated you are to football when on the sunday before your Prelim you were smashed at the footy with your brother. It's ok for him, he's got [b]TALENT[/b]!!!

I think we should get back to talking about the exciting round of footy this weekend aye boys and girls.

With Port Noarlunga suprising the lot of us by beating Cove, set up what I believe the side they would most like to meet in a Prelim in Morphett Vale. While i'm sure most people would disagree that you would like to play Morphett Vale, I think everyone that has paid interest in the Southern Footy League in the past few years would know Porties match up well with Morphett Vale. But in saying that, i still think Morphett Vale will win by about 5 goals. To me they look unstoppable. I thought Valleys could beat them two weeks ago but i certainly ate my words.

I believe the Sunday game looks to be the game of the finals. Both sides could win this. Brighton, a young fit side with plenty of run and some of the best midfielders in the league. Hotdogs is right, they would be close to the youngest side in the league so for them to get this far is a credit to themselves. But i think the tough, uncomprimising style of Reynella, who are a seasoned finals outfit, will prevail by a single digit margain.

If these results occur, it will be interesting if Reynella could spice up grand final day because no offense to any of the Morphett Vale people, but it has been rather dull lately. Please return the grand final to Porties, they were the best days of the year, now i hear people talk of Grand Final day with a groan.

Both Prelim's are shaping up to be belters. When it comes down to this time of the year the teams with the deeper talent should and normally do prevail. This is why i believe MV will take out the first final, they don't appear to have any weak links and believe their bottom 5 to be as good as anyone else's (still playing) mid range players. Certainly won't be a walk over like last time, with Mannion and a couple others back i am expecting Porties to put up a great show but think may may fall a couple of goals short.

I'm just wondering how the wind will effect the game at Christies on Sunday..?? And who if any side it will favour, i still like the Winefly's here, just a few too many senior heads running around that seem to know what it takes to get to the last game in September. When these sides last met Reynella won comfortably by 50 odd points but from memory this was the week Brighton had a few players play in the association carnival, with these back and 2 good finals wins behind them am expecting them to put up a good fight, Reynella by 3-4 goals.
