CHARGE BET ON SPORTSBET

Postby bayman » Mon Sep 10, 2007 9:22 pm

now i'm no expert on soccer but in the australia v argentina match argentina are odds on to win it & sportsbet have the halftime-fulltime double of draw-argentina @ $16.00 which i thought was a pretty good value bet, so i looked up the tab & the same bet is $4.75. so i'm on & i think you blokes should charge at that price as it is obviously a mistake
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Thanks for the heads up, Bayman - obviously a HUGE mistake when draw-Australia is paying less!

ALL ABOARD!!!

Now I'm just wondering if there is any way to guarantee a profit by laying off... don't think so as there are too many options. :(

LOL - beautiful Bayman, they had to approve my bet so I waited for a few seconds but they OK'd it!!!

Ill be laying on BF now for a handy profit....this mistake is as good as their F1 mistake a couple of weeks back and the North Adelaide $3.20 against South!!!

If you dont have BF maybe you could back the other teams to lead at half time to cover your outlay and then lay off ont he draw and Aust at half time?

I worked out a way to guarantee a profit by just backing various combinations on Sportsbet.

LOL at them displaying a market under 100% - they truly are Giftbet!!! :D :D :D

Note the $16 is still up there - I'm surprised they haven't noticed yet!!!

Staggers me you dont have a BF account Ecky, beng someone who loves taking overs but also locking in a profit BF is the tool for $$$

just got it all matched at ave odds of $5.58 so my equation is -

Bet Wins - $2,424- Profit
Bet Loses - $153- Profit

once the BF market gets more liquidity later in the day I reckon Ill transfer at least another $100- off the winning bet to make more profit if it loses

I love it when this happens 8)

Use a bit of common sense people - the guaranteed profit option exists simply from using Sportsbet. :)

Maybe, but I really only bet on the SANFL, as that is the only competition where I believe I am better at assessing markets than the bookies are (because I follow it so closely). So I have never had a real need for a betfair account.

Mistakes like this Aus-Arg one don't come around too often, so I haven't looked any further into creating a betfair account.

OK, OK...since everyone is asking - I created a no-lose situation by placing the following bets with Sportsbet.

$36 on Draw-Arg @ $16 (profit of $80)
$34 on Draw-Aus @ $15 (profit of $14)
$101 on Draw-Draw @ $5 (profit of $9)
$101 on Aus win first half @ $5 (profit of $9)
$224 on Arg win first half @ 2.25 (profit of $8)

That makes a book of 97.3%!

You should be able to guarantee a profit if you got on Draw-Arg at $12 or better (I see it is now in to $9)!

Bet this and you cant lose.... u only need TAB Sportsbet and Sportsbet........

Arg /Arg... $2.60 Sportsbet
Draw /Arg.... $12 Sportsbet

Aust win TAB... $6.35
Draw TAB ... $3.85
Aus/ Arg...TAB $41...

Spend $93 ... Win $100... and you have all combos covered.....lol

Put on $93,000 and get back $100,000.... cant lose whatever the result.....

I know scoob has just gone to get on...Expect it to shorten heavily soon....

Even by coupling up the two Arg bets you can get $1.98 about them winning and they are rated $1.57 to win..... FFS.... massive mistake....
BL are $1-00-2  thats not even $1-01

actually by taking the best odds from TAB and Sportsbet you can get a 93.5% market -

Arg/Arg $2.60
Draw/Draw $5.50 (TAB)
Aus/Aus $10-
Draw/Aus $15-
Aus/Draw $14- (TAB)
Arg/Draw $15- (TAB)
Aus/Arg $41-
Arg/Aus $21-
Draw/Arg $16-

93.5%

as I posted previously the team totals in the AFL regularly gives this opportunity to manipulate the markets for a low 93% scenario 8)
