This means again the GF will be M.V vs Reynella. With the weeks break they flys will be too strong and portys couldnt possible beat M.V. who won the B grade yesterday??

emus to strong in the B's yesterday, im told they won by about 5 goals. Christies played a few A graders to try give them a win but it didnt happen.

full credit to porties on reaching a prelim, now face m.vale who they match up pretty well on.
what happend down at the vikings A's and B's both out. A's in straight sets,
You'd have to be pretty happy with the win on the weekend hey Hotdogs, I rekn you can take reynella next week!!
what was with L.stewart playing B's ?

The big snake was among the best in the two's on the weekend so will force his way back into the A's this weekend......unfortunately an injury to the ruckman will force the move anyway....

A good win by the Bombers.....the big ground of bice oval may suit the runners of Brighton....

how can you possibly say that they finished 2nd because they had a more favorable draw than reynella and they were beaten by two teams that wanted it more all the talent in the world means nothing if the blokes won't play for each other or there coach i use the term coach loosely tho because personally i think if Kevin Sheedy farted it would be with more inspirational than one of Ando's speeches!

Terrible fellas thats the truth. Dont know what we truely lack ATM I think a dominate, commanding CHB Luke Weidermann played CHb most the day yesterday then we lacked any targets across half Foward. Porties controlled the corridor and our midfield/(entire side) was unaccountable. Complacincy even Morphett Vale may had already been on a fews minds Well done to Porties they played Well and To the runner for some slight comedy in the dying moments running past the Cove supporters giving us hell he got the last laugh. Porties can still be a roughy mind you they are a very large side with some good runners.

I was hoping cove would make the gf this year, and im dissapointed that they went out in straight sets. Cant imagine what the cobra supporters would be thinking. The messiah (anderson) in my opinion is not up to it. Very uninspiring coach, who has taken cove back a step. I wonder if he will be feeling the venom next year???
Well done to porties, momentum is a strange thing, lets hope for a couple of good prelims!

Well done to the Cockledivers, they went out in straight sets last year, so to turn it around is good form... Maybe cove need to be burnt to get the desire..or just sack Ando

Tight Lines, Jono & any other Cove people - I had a look at the "boot" and theres something like 10 diffrent names in this years final series to last years. Whats the story here?
Cove had had a good record in recent years in keeping the same team together, however a third of the side changed is a bit strange. Im talking about the likes of White, Padroth, Sloan, Farrugia, Shimanski, Lapari, Harvey, Crighton (both went to CLG), McEvoy, Ryan (Retired).

Can you shed any light, a few of these names played B's through the year?

I think cove lost 2 prelims in a row before this year, that would be burnt enough for me!!
Sack ando would be my choice!!

Correct Mole they lost the last 2 prelims one to the emu's and last year to the winefly's. Will be interesting to see which direction they go from here. Think i can remember Tightlines saying that one or both of the Reavills would go back to the bay etc. After 2 very good seasons/finals campaigns i would imagine them to be seething with their loss yesterday, a huge step backwards for them.

What about their B grade coach if Ando does go....Layne Trembath.....he has taken the two's to minor premiership this year and from what i understand is well respected down there.....any chance he could step up to the a grade gig......

Not a great day...Really good 1st qtr kicking 4 to 1 into the breeze and from there stopped..Porties bodies a lot bigger and stronger and we just looked out on our feet after half time!! All I think happened is the loss last week taking it out of them they had a huge 2nd half against Reynella and i think had they had to get over the line last week and have a week off!!! Don't believe we have gone backwards considering we played Bennett, Hare, Cameron, Schneider, McInerney all under 20 Ramsey, Weidermann, Taylor, Baker, Ursino, both Reavills, Vick, Kokotis all 24 or under so base of a really good side there...Whats needed is tall key defender, ruckman and another quality onballer...No step back just a hiccup...A lot of people having a go at Ando but he doesn't have a good a side as what Porter had but results suggest he did as well finished as high as they ever have after season (2nd) but fell over few inj's didn't help i.e M Reavill.
On the ball those names - Schimanski inj back next year, Farrugia (ret), Mcevoy (ret), White few dramas thru year playing 2's, Padroth de listed, Harvey (CLG) Lipari inj

Did anyone see the C Grade GF yesterday?
Can anyone confirm whether Flaggies played some B/A graders?
Couldnt believe Flaggies had a banner for their team to run through. Not sure what was worse...the banner or what was written on it.
For those who didnt see it, it read "Sunday A's". Congratulations on the win, but C'mon Falcons...

sounds like you still have a young group at cove jono. will many of the A's get dropped back to B's now that the A's are finished for another year?
Looks like Ando is well and truly in the firing line, would you expect him to be around again next season?

I dont care how bad a coach is Cove are a better side than porties. Must of had a bad day or something. Cant blame it all on the coach! players need to create there own enthusiasm, maybe they were flat and thought the game was won.... Just my thoughts.
