Grundy 58 hitouts, 17 to advantage. Were the pies mids poor, or the dogs mids excellent at roving to the losing tap?

Bont was enormous and would of got the 3 votes had they got up. Grundy 3, Bont 2, Daylight 1

Turn it up @LMA- Grundy pffft
The Bont was that far in front of the rest it wasn’t funny. At least he had opponents...

Dogs are used to it at the moment. Timmy English is great talent but he's just and kid and out of his depth at the moment.

Last night & tonight absolute shockers.
The look of the game isn't fantastic right now. Last was a better game though.

I must say that after our JLT I was inclined to think that we would be consigned to the bottom 4. After winning our first two I was buoyed before the Gold Coast garbage... tonight I was expecting to be put in our place but I was very pleasantly surprised to be leading so late on. Too many costly errors at half back trying to pick off the tough kick but still lots to like about our up and comers.
English, while not winning hitouts competed well and got around the ground ok
Naughton looks a gun, takes a great mark and finishes well
Smith is exciting, does the tough stuff and can find the goals
Our mids are one of the deepest around with Bont, Macrae, Libba, Wallis, Hunter all able to mix it with the best
Once JJ gets fit and we clean up our exits from the back half we can do some damage because Weeman Daniel uses it really well, Crozier is getting better (Mark of the year tonight!) and Suckling still has it...

Would have liked to win tonight but a decent showing, not having a big FB hurts us with Wood and Cordy having to play tall.

Watch Carlton smash us next week!

Having a quick look at the dogs list, the only other ruck they have is another kid Jordan Sweet unless they go Boyd or Trengrove for some support for English. Can’t go losing the hit outs 60 to 6

Trengrove should come in and either play key back or assist in the ruck. I think Boyd is only just coming back to the VFL this week.
