Time may prove me wrong but I couldn't see any reason why we'd look past him going on what I'd seen as a 17yo.

They then won 4 games in the season proper, too.

I don't see it that way.

Joel played 21 games in 2007, averaging 19 disposals, .3 goals and 4.5 tackles a game. Joel was able to achieve those numbers, in part, due to the outstanding midfield he had surrounding him (Ablett, Bartel, Corey).

Despite Carlton being likely to finish bottom 3, Walsh will still have the likes of Cripps and Murphy who are able to take the attention away from him a little. Walsh has the body to play 20 games this season, and a 17 disposal, 3 tackle average isn't out of the question.
