Dunno what week PDCA, ATCA etc finish but having a Grade Cricket club as a co-tenant means we don't get our oval back until April. We train on it properly for the first time in the week of Round 1.

Amateur Football clubs can also stop pre-season training in December with that logic.The Bedge wrote:Cricket associations (apart from Grade) should look to shorten the season IMO - it's already a long season as it is, and for those who are involved in cricket and a winter sport, there is pretty much zero break between.
I'm sure football and cricket would see improvements in retention rates if people got some break.
