On phone, everyone is exposed to the delay, TV is delayed by a few seconds though and thats the advantage.

Week 2: Went home early Wednesday, took the Thursday and Friday off.
Week 3: Had the Monday off.
Week 4: Had Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off.
This week: Has had Monday and today off, hasn't been here for a week this time.

The laws are so crap now, there's people out there desperate for employment.

Like many workplace laws there's ways and means around it.

Performance management, which includes attendances, needs to be monitored and documented closely. With that sort of attendance record management are well within their rights to suggest the woman consults a physician to obtain a clearance to say she is fit for work as opposed to her coughing up sick certificates / pharmacists certificates that are obtained for anywhere upwards of $20 nowadays.

For most here you don't need one for having a single day off.

She has been a serial offender for a long time and more often than not she will get on her bportal as soon as she returns and classify it as annual leave if it's multiple days.

It's her managers fault IMO, she created the monster and didn't put a stop to it when it was starting to become a problem, yet she'd come and whinge to me about her to no end and tell me what she's going to do about it upon her return.

she has messaged me many times while being absent warning me against going to certain KFC's, telling me that she's stuck in hospital with an illness that the doctors can't diagnose.

She is so full of shit, we have caught her out at least 10 times.

Her manager is a toothless tiger, she quite often claims to be hospitalised, I tell the manager to ask where so she can send some flowers.

If I was the manager I'd get a PI or do something to monitor what's going on one way or another as she is still posting on FB like nothing is going on.

She's even used to Grandma dying, and went to a pretend funeral a few days later to keep the story running.
